The kitchen is sure to whet your appetite. There are two bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom, and a roll top cast iron tub in the other bathroom. This is a spectacularly beautiful place, just over an hour from either Glasgow or Edinburgh. You can see ospreys, golden eagles, and peregrine falcons here in season, and there are otters and beavers resident on the loch. Even when the animals aren’t to be seen, the stars put on a fabulous show in the clear night sky. You can hike up to Bracklinn Falls, hop over to Loch Katrine for a ride on the paddle steamer SS Walter Scott and take pony treks through the hills. The route 7 cycle network runs right by as well and offers miles of great biking or even a more energetic way of getting here. This is a place you won’t want to miss!

The Pheasants Nest
